F/W 2014 PROJECTS

My latest work in the studio has been a new collection of phone cases

I'm inspired by vintage jewelry + postcards + ads 

They are super durable... I've been using my Alice in Wonderland Haute Tea mixed with a little Guns n Roses flair cover for about 6 months now and have had no problem with any jewels coming loose so I'm confident they will stand up to daily use.

SPRING HAUTE TEA PARTY

Since Spring's arrival... late but at last here... I've been so inspired to host 

a spring fling tea party.  No special event necessary, just lots of fine teas, adored 

serving pieces, flowers and of course gorgeous tasty treats, all homemade.

There's nothing more scrumptious than homemade biscotti, scones, tea sandwiches,

and cakes, coupled with fabulous exotic teas.

All the recipes for the following images are linked at the bottom, so lets get

cooking and host a fab haute tea party for all our friends to

break from the hectic work week and enjoy spring.

FAVORITE HOME STUDIO OFFICES

as an artist|designer I'm always admiring studio spaces and here are some

of my favorites and some ideas on how to get organized + get this look

I've been revamping my workspace at home so I'll be trying some of these ideas

this studio space is amazing...it has the feel of getting away from all distraction to be able to focus

on your projects....natural sunlight + large work surfaces + shelves for organizing

ART + DECOR | what I'm obsessing over

ok...I know I've been obsessing over this black and white stuff for weeks now....

well months now.  And between the rug I'm wanting and these abstract pieces

I'm not getting much sleep lets just say.... I wake in the middle of the night picturing

a blank canvas or a huge sheet of heavy watercolor paper and drops of black.... grey and gold

and ebony ink.... and thin lovely frames...either in gold or black... heck I even love

these in white ... when I say I'm obsessing...I really am.

COCO'S WISH LIST

My to do list keeps growing... 

and so does the wish list

right now I'm obsessed with this rug

how fab it would look in my LR

I really, really need these in my studio/office

I'm inclined to keep way too many magazines lying about in stacks collecting dust

these boxes would help greatly

and I'm still loving a nude nail by Tom Ford.... its always gorgeous and appropriate

and on the opposing side of 'Toasted Sugar' is this lovely shade called 'Bitter Bitch' 

 which was named a NM Beauty Award Finalist for 2014

ABOUT THOSE BLACK DOORS

I'm still contemplating black doors going into the dining room...

I love this exterior door in black

and this was the picture that inspired me at first... I posted it a few days ago and it made

me think of doors going into a formal dining area and how dramatic this would be

i definitely love the matte finish instead of shiny ....I think

Love this dining room table and chairs.  Using vintage in your decor brings a level
of authenticity to the room that you just cant get by purchasing all new items.

so crushing on this chair!  Recover a vintage wing chair with this fab fabric and get some glam going.

I could just kick myself too... you know when you see something....your out shopping and you think OMG I should really get that now.... cant believe I found this here....and then you think hmm maybe I should wait or look one more place and you come back and its gone.....well I did that...again! Why I havent learned yet to NEVER do that..... its beyond me but yea.... the rug below.... I found it...here in my small home town and I didnt get it that very moment... i came back with the bf in tow and it was of course gone. Sad!

Lesson.....if you love it...don't pass it up EVER~

Currently in the process of painting a dresser grey ...and a bookcase.... i'm totally into the tranquility of grey mixed with the glam of gold, black and white.

I love these prints with a large expanse of white mat and a thin gold frame.
