A Flare for Merchandising

I love how these shops have gone the extra whimsical mile in creating a fabulous first impression.

Drawing a potential customer into your world is no small feat.

Creating drama and inspiration makes a customer curious about what other treasures are inside that they just cannot do without for another day! Oh how I love that effect!

What Luxurious item awaits me just through this Paris Shop door......

And once inside continue building that world....showing ways of incorporating your shops vision and style into a customers life. Wow, Chanel has such a fab boutique vib ... I want to see more.

Its like we've walked into the halls of versailles...swoon!

I just cant come up with words to explain how much I love this...so many layers...its wonderful!

So White, So Wonderful

Just wanted to share some lovely details of shabby chic decor.

If any of you have tried this style of decorating then you know it takes quite a bit more restraint than you might think. I really adore the crisp clean palette of whites, creams, ocassional pastel pinks and blues, the aged patina on surfaces and the appreciation of all things vintage.

What I love most about this sweet little chair is the careful placement of the hand cross-stitched monogram on the muslin used to recover it. J'adore!

And this bunny pillow...swoooon! Perfect spot of whimsy.

Peony and Sage

This little chic nook has so many components that make it fab!

Love the 'Bliss' on the wall above the window...the lovely little tins, buckets and bins on the shelves, the pillows on the bench, and that pastel pink table is pure confection perfection!

La Petite Maison Blanche

I love finding these soaps in sweet little boutique shops....they are a luxe little treat for everyday.

Modern Country

No Shabby Chic decore is complete without a fabulous sparkling chandi....this is gorgeous!

Crush Cul de Sac

Details! Love this pack of vintage papers wrapped with jute and a perfect pink rose.

A Cottage in the Woods

Some Pillow Adoration here....... Love everything about this!

This is a perfect place to hibernate with a good book.

The slipcover, muslin and linen pillows and that crocheted afghan...so snuggly!

More design details to purposefully incorporate...cream and white binding...LOVE.

Limestone Fireplaces bring so much architecture into the Home.

I love the herringbone detail inside the box.

Each shot brings tons of inspiration. I'd love to incorporate some of these details in a fireplace renovation for our home.

DIY inspiration

Have some old vintage frames lying around?

Turn them into lovely framed chalkboards like this

j'adore!

or...a dry erase board...use burlap backing with glass.

What a great use for silver trays....use as magnetic message boards!

Cant wait to make a set of these lovelies! If you apply a little magnet on the back these would be perfect for the silver trays above.

Is this not the cutest little village for Christmas!

I'm so planning to try making some of these little joys....but if I'm not successful I'll be saving to purchase this lovely little set for the mantle. The artist has inspired me to give it a try...we have a huge stash of vintage cards the would do just perfect for this....and I love anything to do with glitter application! I love love love the thought put into both of these kitchens! The backsplash tile over the stove set on diagonal brings your eye to this focal point of the kitchen. The lighting ...so well placed! The countertops, made to withstand lots of work and look beautiful doing it! Even the stools are not ordinary.... no humdrum here! Absolutely beautiful design work!
