ROCKIN FRENCH STREET CHIC

hope everyone has a great weekend planned... its a bright Friday morning 

and I'm headed out to paint some furniture for a client.  Right now in fashion its 

about staying warm and rockin some french street chic looks!

GREIGE | A CALMING PALETTE

some decor inspiration for the upcoming week

I have several projects and am trying to find a balance between my love

for french decor and modern glam

i adore these delicate gilt frames for art throughout the home

and touches of silver + gold together

I have a mantle to decorate and will be choosing a perfect piece of art and 

some accessories to capture a blend of modern and vintage

Whats your favorite thing to see above a mantle?

its hard to choose

the guest bath needs this glam treatment  | some glitzy sconces + black framed original art

I have the perfect sterling silver tray for guest towels on the vanity!

now I LOVE dupioni drapes but the budget wont allow so I'm pondering an idea for 

making them from linen drop clothes....a fab look for the price

a crisp white kitchen + pale grey walls + black counters + stainless appliances

is a perfect backdrop for some delicate glass vases filled with hydrangea 

and more thin gold gilt framed sketches

I'll be painting several dressers | a desk | a bookcase | headboard 

with my own chalk paint and distressing to create this vintage french feel throughout the home

and recovering a chair or two with linen | and sewing some stenciled linen pillows

also...sanding and sealing an outdoor glass top table + chairs ...all raw wood for the back deck

its going to be a busy couple of weeks!

WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

with the chill of winter settling in the south ......we've been cooped up inside and have been

obsessively watching 'The White Queen' series.  Its an amazing story of the throne of England, and

the wars of the Plantagenets, claimants and kings who ruled England before the Tudors.

This one in particular, King Edward IV... played by Max Irons...{wowza}

 and Queen Elizabeth...aka the white queen herself, played by Rebecca Ferguson... {awesome}

{based on the novel by Philippa Gregory}

LUXE FINISHES | ART & LUCITE TABLES

I've been captivated by these lovely lucite tables
and how they bring a certain luxe factor to the decor of these rooms.
The designer could have tossed in a typical dining room table here...
and it would have been beautiful....but this lucite one....it takes it to another level of total luxe.

Cant decide what I love more......those denim covered natural wood chairs

or the awesome lamp...the artwork ...the sofa... oh geez...all of it!
